Transformational Coaching - A mind-body approach to deep transformation
Transformational Coaching utilizes the cutting edge science of Energy Psychology and the power of Transformational Breathwork to facilitate the process of deep change. By working on the somatic level it is possible to release deeply ingrained habits and self-defeating emotional patterns that are subconsciously rooted in past experiences and traumas. The body is ground zero for all that you hold onto, emotionally, energetically and physically. Using mind-body techniques like Tapping (EFT), we can often quickly diminish fears, conflicting belief patterns and mental confusion with an elegance and intuitive ease that talking alone cannot achieve.
Energy psychology (EP) is a family of integrative approaches to psychotherapy, coaching and healthcare treatment that work with the energetic aspect of the mind-body connection. These methods are helping people around the world experience rapid relief from trauma, stress, limiting beliefs and more. EFT "Tapping" is the most well known and widely practiced energy psychology technique (and the technique I use the most with my clients).
Transformational Breathwork Coaching draws from a wide range of breathing techniques from various Eastern and Western traditions, and can be tailored to your specific needs. One of the biggest factors in our abysmal health as a culture, is our poor breathing habits. Few people are ever taught to breath in a healthy way. Most of us are never taught as children what healthy breathing is. Patients with heart disease, when assessed for their breathing habits, are almost always found to breath poorly -- meaning breathing through the mouth, and breathing in the chest rather than the belly. Our emotional and physical health is affected greatly by the depth and speed of breath. For example, a typical person with high stress and anxiety is likely to be breathing at a rate of at least 24 breaths per minute. In contrast, a person who has practiced breath control and is aware of their breathing, not in high anxiety, may naturally breath at a rate of 6 breaths a minute - or less. This is a massive difference.
The centerpiece of Transformational Breathwork is the Breathwork Journey -- an extended session (30-45 mins) of intensive guided breathing (what we call "conscious connected breathing"), while listening to music. This process is a powerfully moving experience that removes the barriers of the over-thinking conscious mind, induces a Theta brain wave state, and induces an altered state in which deeply held emotions and old patterns can be naturally purged.

New developments and discoveries in neuroscience are revealing the amazing power of the brain, in it's ability to adapt, to change and to influence both mental and physical health and well-being. One of my coaching clients recently observed the positive changes in himself after a couple of sessions and made this analogy:
"It's like the preset channels on my internal radio have been reset, so now I am free to tune into whatever I want,
without being locked into the same old stations."
This is a perfect way to describe the changes that occur so naturally when new neural pathways are created, and old ones (based on fear, anxiety and negative thought patterns) are extinguished.
